Roots
"Roots” was a very fun experience because I got to create a 60s based campsite. This was a my favorite student film to work on at SCAD because I loved the team I worked with, and the set was so vibrant and colorful. The story was a deaf boy living in the woods and gets comfort from a tree.
My job in this production was to work on a team was production designer, and I created props, worked with the set dresser, and sourced everything. Setting up a campsite was interesting because everyday we had to take most things down because we were in a park. Overall, I loved this production, and working on a great team really does make it!
Fun Fact: We used incense sticks as a fake fire!
Some techniques I used, but are not limited to are...
• Prop Making
• Set Dressing
• Budgeting
• Sourcing
